MArtin jost

Born in Slovenia in 1988, Martin began his musical journey at the age of six when he started attending music school. Initially playing the accordion, he later transitioned to guitar and began learning the french horn and piano, and completed all. Throughout his formal music education, he demonstrated exceptional skills in solfeggio classes, which led to him developing a very good relative pitch. In 2003 he went on to study french horn at a music high school in Ljubljana, where he received several awards as a soloist and member of a horn quartet.

After high school, Martin continued his education at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 2015. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for composing and arranged a 4-voice canon that became a source of inspiration for the name of the composition collection made by his colleagues in the last year of studies.

Since then, he has honed his skills in transcription and engraving and has recently started composing and arranging music for a variety of genres, including classical, film, and pop. He has a unique ability to instantly write or record what he hears in his mind and is passionate about sharing this gift with others.
